FruitfulTime? What does that mean?

FruitfulTime is a site dedicated to help you make every second count.

How is that possible? I already make the best use of my time, you might say to yourself.

That is possible, but the fact that you came across this blog post and you are reading it can mean one of two things.

Possibility #1: You used a search engine to query about improving your productivity, time management, or life since you want to learn more about this skill. In such a case you are at the right place. Congratulations :)
Possibility #2: You already live a fruitful life and do not need to learn how to make efficient and effective use of your time since you are already skilled in the art of making your time fruitful. But there I gotcha! Then that means that your are reading a blog post that is not useful for you since you already know this stuff, which means you are wasting your time, i.e. you are procrastinating. ;) In other words you still need to fine tune your skills a wee bit more and thus are in the right place. :)
So, let’s get back to what FruitfulTime is all about and what it means to make every second count.

Life is short! You might have heard that phrase a million times, thus creating yet another cliché. But it is an important cliché nonetheless. Think about that phrase: “Life is short!”

What does that phrase mean to you? What will you accomplish in that time? How short is short? 40 years, 60 years, 80 years maybe. Nobody really knows. (A future blog post will tell you more on how to live a healthy lifestyle to live a longer fit life.)

Depending on your age, you might say life is not short. If you are a teenager, twenty or thirty year old, that might seem true now. But ask your parents or someone who’s in his fifties or sixties and they will say that life goes by in a flash.

What I mean is that you might look at your age and say I still have 50 or more years to live. That is a very long time and it is true. But time goes by without us noticing it, and time can neither be bought nor brought back.

Since us humans have a hard time comprehending stuff on a large scale, a practical example of this on a smaller scale will help you more clearly get my point. How many times have you had a project, write-up or task to complete in a week’s time and you said to yourself. Oh… I have so much time left to do this. I will do it eventually. And then… without noticing the next day the due date has dawned on you and you still have a thousand things to do before you can complete the task. To make things worse, you then start to panic, feelings of guilt ensue and even if you manage to finish the task on time, somehow, you still feel bad about it.

I know this happens… It used to happen to me as well. ;)
So, in a nutshell this is what FruitfulTime is all about. A site where you can read about how to make yourself more productive in your life to make every second count.

This skill of making every second count is not an easy one, you need to be disciplined, but once you do you will live a fulfilling life that rewards you with happiness and a great sense of accomplishment.

One final word before I end this post. Does making every second count mean that you should always work to be productive? The resounding answer is No. In fact, by being more productive you will find more time to do the stuff you enjoy the most, like playing your favourite sport, learning a new skill, or whatever your imaginative mind dreams of.

So join FruitfulTime in a journey towards a more fulfilling life :)
