Management expects their employees to answer such questions immediately to enable them to make accurate plans. If not provided with the right tools employees tend to use out of date techniques to handle their to do list. Old technique include:
Keeping their to do list on a piece of paper
This technique of keeping a to do list is unreliable and unscalable. It is unreliable since papers are easily lost and it is unscalable since if the tasks to handle increase the solution will become unfeasible.
Keep your to do list in a text editor
This technique is better than the former since it is a more reliable method. The problem with this method is that you cannot set reminders or prioritise your tasks.
A to do list software helps employees handle their to do list in an efficient and effective way. To do list software:
- allows the input and modification of tasks.
- allows an employee to handle tasks in an efficient manner by splitting them into smaller and less complex sub tasks.
